Creëer je eigen avond uit tijdens ‘Hour Zero’
Word onderdeel van het verhaal tijdens deze interdisciplinaire, immersieve voorstelling.
Stichting Dansers voor Dans presenteert de voorstelling ‘Hour Zero’. ‘Hour Zero’ is een mix tussen een festival, tentoonstelling, clubavond en theatervoorstelling. De bezoeker creëert zijn of haar eigen verhaal door zijn eigen route te bepalen door de 5 zalen. Elke zaal heeft een unieke belevenis. Je ervaart deze voorstelling 5 of 6 oktober om 20.00 in Weelde, Rotterdam.
Onderdeel van het verhaal
Deze voorstelling is niet alleen maar zitten, de bezoeker doet actief mee. Je bepaalt namelijk zelf je route door de 5 ruimtes. Hierin zie je verschillende disciplines zoals dans, live-muziek, performance art, videokunst of spoken word voorbijkomen. Verwacht geen saaie zit, je loopt zelf rond met of zonder je drankje. Prikkel al je zintuigen en kruip veilig weg in de installatie van Teun Vonk, of dans mee op de meeslepende muziek van Richard Kruysdijk. Door het rondlopen en meedoen voel je je als bezoeker onderdeel van het grotere verhaal. De avond eindigt in één grote bewegingsmeditatie, of is het nu een rave?
Combinatie van aanstormend en gevestigd talent
Onder leiding van regisseurs Mara Hulspas en Bryndis Brynjolfsdottir reflecteren verschillende kunstenaars op het ervaringstheater. Je ziet gevestigde namen zoals Richard van Kruysdijk maar ook nieuwe talenten als Ruochen Wang samen tijdens ‘Hour Zero’. De makers komen uit verschillende velden maar worden hier samengebracht. Stichting Dansers voor Dans wil door voornamelijk Rotterdamse makers uit te nodigen laten zien wat Rotterdam te bieden heeft.
Wie zijn Stichting Dansers voor Dans?
Mara en Bryndis zijn de artistieke directeuren bij het door henzelf opgerichte Stichting Dansers voor Dans (SDVD). Na te hebben gedanst bij Scapino Ballet Rotterdam willen zij zich nu breder ontwikkelen als maker en organisator. Met hun organisatie willen ze de traditionele grenzen van de theaterzaal ontstijgen. Zo kwamen ze op het idee van een interdisciplinaire, immersieve voorstelling: ‘Hour Zero’

Stichting Dansers voor Dans present ‘Hour Zero’, a mix of festival, exhibition, poetry, club night, and theater performance. The visitors create their own story by determining their route and sequence through five rooms. Each room generates a unique experience.
Part of the story
This performance is highly immersive as, opposed to passively sitting in a chair, spectators are encouraged to actively participate in the performance, by choosing their own path through five rooms. There they will experience an array of artistic disciplines such as dance, live music, performance art, video art, and spoken word. They can choose to explore the spaces with or without a drink in hand. Stimulate all of the senses and hide safely in Teun Vonk’s installation or dance along to the captivating music of Richard Kruysdijk. By walking around and participating, visitors cannot help but feel part of the bigger story. Finally, the evening culminates in one extensive movement meditation…..or is it a rave?
Combination of upcoming and established talent
As the initiators and founders of Stichting Dansers voor Dans, Mara Hulspas and Bryndís Brynjólfsdóttir reflect with various artists on experiential theatre. During ‘Hour Zero, spectators will experience multidisciplinary work from established names such as Richard van Kruysdijk alongside that of new talents such as Ruochen Wang In doing so, Stichting Dansers voor Dans aims to showcase what Rotterdam has to offer by inviting makers who are involved in the Rotterdam art scene.
Who are Stichting Dansers voor Dans?
After completing their dance careers at Scapino Ballet Rotterdam, Mara Hulspas and Bryndis Brynjólfsdóttir set out to transcend the traditional boundaries of the theatre. This led to the development of the interdisciplinary, immersive performance ‘Hour Zero.’
